Matters of the Heart

Of all the things we strive for in our eternal journey, what matters most is the condition of our heart.

Bishop Huntsman taught Relief Society this Sunday. He spoke of the essential importance of opening our hearts to receive the Holy Ghost. In our daily lives we struggle and hurt, but we must keep our hearts loving, open, forgiving, receptive and even glad.

Please comment on the thought that stand out to you from the lesson, or any relevant thought you have, even if you were not able to be there.

That's very uplifting. Thank you for posting a synopsis for those of us who don't get to attend!

It's completely true that the more we focus on our own pain, the worse it becomes. When we focus on others and reach out in faith, we often find that Christ has quietly reached in and softened or even healed our personal pain.

Janika, just a suggestion - I love the coral color, but I think it might be easier for some of the sisters to read if you used the brown color (or any darker color) in the main text body. Maybe even making the text a slightly larger font, perhaps. It's just a little hard to see on the burlap color, although most of us won't have any difficulty. I have to say, I personally LOVE this color scheme. Good choice. And great work on the blog! What a blessing for us! It's great!
